Our team collaborated with WC Bradley Company to breathe new life into the historic YMCA building in Columbus, Georgia. Originally constructed in 1903 and modeled after the founding YMCA in London, this significant structure holds the distinction of being the third-oldest YMCA building in America and the only one clad in marble. Our focus was on preserving the building’s historic character while creating a modern and functional office environment. This involved meticulous restoration work alongside the implementation of entirely new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The resulting 23,000 square feet of Class A office space boasts a versatile layout with modern amenities like kitchens, breakrooms, flexible workspaces, and shared conference rooms. This award-winning project, recognized as the 2023 Redevelopment of the Year for the Columbus Market, exemplifies our commitment to honoring historical legacy while fostering a vibrant new use for the community.
