2014 Award of Merit from IIDA Georgia’s Best of the Best in Hospitality Design
We worked closely with our clients, a husband-and-wife team, to develop a cozy and casual interior for their first restaurant. We were inspired by images of the salt harvesting process and close-up photos of salt itself – especially the striking contrasts of rough and polished surfaces, light and dark areas. We translated that imagery to the space by using dark paneling throughout, offset by elements like creamy tile, concrete countertops, warm brass, glazed brick, and rough architectural beams overhead.
