OXTON

Oxton is an adaptive reuse project at Piedmont Center located in Buckhead, GA. Our team was tasked with reimagining ground-floor office space into a thriving mixed-use retail and food and beverage environment. The existing 1970s office building was designed to encompass a one-acre courtyard which is now home to several hearty old growth trees that create an oasis from the urban context nearby. Our design approach was to create a sense of arrival and place so that Oxton felt like a true destination within the Buckhead community. The vision for this retail conversion was to add texture, scale, and tactility to the new retail facades by utilizing glazed terracotta tiles, custom lighting, and wood storefronts to add warmth.
