LITTLE TART

One of the first stalls to open at Krog Street Market, Little Tart Bakeshop greets visitors with the smell of croissants and coffee front and center facing the market’s main entrance. Pastries are made from scratch in an efficient workspace and coffee is sourced from a local purveyor. Our design merges the French-inspired spirit of Little Tart’s beloved baked goods with the industrial architecture of the market hall, which was once a cast iron stove factory that produced for just over 100 years. The color palette is made up of deep teal, soft cream, gold-streaked marble and brass. Classic subway tile walls with inset steel windows allow a glimpse into the working bakery, while café curtains hide necessary storage and hand-painted signage adds a graceful flourish.
