In the heart of downtown Charlotte, NC, the signature restaurant at the Westin hotel invites guests to experience the refined elegance of Southern hospitality. Working closely with Portman Holdings and Rare Roots Hospitality, we crafted a space that captures the essence of a verdant southern garden integrating warm golden tones, vibrant greenery, and sumptuous fabrics with subtle Southern-inspired details. At its core, a 36-seat bar floats between brass-wrapped columns, bathed in custom lighting, making it the undeniable centerpiece of the room. Rich walnut accents heighten the space’s inviting atmosphere which transitions from the soft morning light of breakfast to the sultry mood of evening cocktails and fine dining. Every detail speaks to the warmth of Southern hospitality, ensuring that both locals and travelers feel welcomed and transported, leaving with an impression that lingers long after their visit.
