COLETTE BREAD & BAKESHOP

Inspired by French author and pioneer feminist, “Colette,” the Colette Bread and Bakeshop is home to the latest venture for our client, Sarah Dodge. The brick-and-mortar space serves Dodge’s wholesale business along with retail offerings, and baking and cooking classes. Building upon elements of the existing space, our goal was to create a shop that feels approachable and warm with a feminine touch. Original wood flooring lines the front retail space and transitions into a minty green and white vinyl checkered floor in the bakery’s prep area. Brass details can be found along the white oak retail shelves and in the elevated kitchen lighting. Above the tile inlay in the floor sits a vintage display case for the pastries and checkout counter. The space is warm and inviting and is truly a neighborhood gem where “bread is good.”
