Nestled along the vibrant Atlanta BeltLine, Breaker Breaker is a unique indoor-outdoor restaurant that blends a laid-back seafood-centric vibe with the neighborhood’s industrial heritage. Embracing the project’s former use as a steel fabrication yard, we repurposed one of the existing buildings set for demolition into a super-roof, both to preserve the industrial character and provide shade and shelter to much of the exterior. Working within the constraints of an incredibly long and narrow site, the restaurant’s program is thoughtfully divided into three distinct buildings that maximize their footprints by blending the indoor and outdoor environment. Outdoor seating, landscaping, and a focal plaza connect Breaker Breaker to both the surrounding Reynoldstown neighborhood and the overall Beltline corridor.
