This quick service chain is an integral part of the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta. We designed the restaurant's interiors located within a prime street-front section of the building. Prior to this project, we'd created for the company a prototype design package called Heritage and then adapted it to this larger-than-typical volume using the full treatment of finishes, furniture, millwork, and spatial relationships. Featured throughout are hardworking kitchen finishes like glazed brick tile and stainless steel mixed with locally-made handcrafted pieces, textures and bright pops of red. A focal wall houses a rendition of the company logo crafted from laser cut steel and inserted into a row of white oak boards. Recycled coke bottles are set within framed partitions separating dining areas. As they catch the light, they serve as a reminder of the company founder who peddled cokes door to door as a boy during the depression. Especially for the Hall of Fame restaurant, we designed a feature wall inspired by the gridiron where rows of helmets and footballs sit inside lockers above a built-in bench, all topped off by the CFA logo made of astroturf.
